Annual Friar Formation Appeal

This weekend, our parish, along with others across the Dominican Friars Province of St. Joseph will be conducting the Annual Friar Formation Appeal. This appeal is critical for providing for the formation expenses of the next generation of priests and brothers. God has continued to bless our province of Dominican Friars with many vocations such that dozens of friars will be sent out into ministry over the next decade. Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast

The Knights of Columbus invite you to their first pancake breakfast of the year after the 9AM Mass on October 15th in St. Thomas Hall. Pancakes, sausage, coffee and orange juice will be served. Cost is $5 per person/$15 per family with the proceeds benefiting Life Spring Pregnancy Center. Enjoy good food and great conversation! Since many of our catechists are UVA students and will be away on retreat with the Catholic Hoos, our RE programs will not meet this Sunday. (Our youth ministry programs will meet as usual.) Attend the Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast!

Embodied Creatures Lecture Series (Sunday morning)

This fall, St. Thomas Aquinas University Parish is offering a 10-talk series on the goodness of the human body. Throughout this series, Fr. Nicholas Hartman, O.P., will offer discussion on how the body relates to Christian morality and spirituality—on the soul-body union, human emotions, sexuality, and frailty, as well as the body’s role in the development of virtue.
