Dominican Laity

Dominican Laity

Becoming a professed Lay Dominican is a lifelong vocation open to all practicing Catholic men and women, single or married, who embrace Dominican spirituality that includes four pillars: prayer, study, apostolate, and community. Lay Dominicans meet in community once a month for prayer, study, and friendship, and then- fortified by Grace and their Fraternity meeting- go out into the world to serve secular society. By making a commitment to an apostolate, the Lay Dominican finds ways to share with all, the Truth and Love of God for man. The Saint Thomas Aquinas Fraternity of the Dominican Laity meets once a month, on the first Saturday of the month. We start with attending the 8:30AM Mass, reciting the Rosary in the Dominican manner after Mass at the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and then meet as a Community in the St. Thomas Social Hall for breakfast, socializing, and our monthly meeting.

If you are interested in visiting the local fraternity, please email [email protected], and a Lay Dominican will contact you with additional information.
