The Science and Significance of Eucharistic Miracles
Thursday, Sept. 15, Mass 9:30 a.m., Talk 10 a.m., St. Thomas Hall
This multimedia presentation by Steve Hemler and Dr. Jonathan Hemler highlights the importance of the Holy Eucharist and provides an overview of the amazing findings of scientific studies of several Eucharistic miracles. Steve is president of the Catholic Apologetics Institute of North America (CAINA) and author of a trilogy of published apologetics books. His son Jonathan is a pediatric allergist and member of St. Thomas Aquinas parish.
The consistent teaching of the Catholic Church is that the Eucharist is truly the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ under the appearance of bread and wine. But most people, even many Catholics, doubt this teaching. In order to manifest Christ’s Real Presence and dispel doubts, God sometimes provides us with Eucharistic miracles, which include consecrated hosts being transformed into real human flesh and blood. This presentation will strengthen faith in the Real Presence and equip attendees with new information for sharing with family and friends about the importance of regularly attending Mass. RSVP by September 12th to [email protected] or call/text to 434-906-7889.
Luncheon to follow the presentation - $10 donation requested. Gifts for the LifeSpring Pregnancy Center always welcome.
