Director of Religious Education

A homeschooling mom of three, Eleanor has served as Director of Religious Education since the fall of 2011. Her daughters “work” in the front office too, and probably know more than their mother about what’s going on. A UVA alumna, her academic training focused on English literature, specializing in (wait for it!) anti-Catholicism in the British Victorian period. Before beginning her work at STA, she owned and operated her own freelance writing and editing business. To her great delight, her work at STA utilizes a great deal of this training. In her practically non-existent downtime, she continues her writing and editing work. Her published credits include many articles, an epistolary novella, work with many of the Ignatius Critical Editions of the classics (check out her editions of
Mansfield Park, Dracula, and
Sense and Sensibility), (most recently) the coloring-book biographies of our patron:
The Ox Who Bellowed and of St. Dominic, the founder of the Order of Preachers:
The Hound of the Lord (email to snag your copies before she and the girls color them all!), and her upcoming Victorian Dominican vampire-slayer novel:
A Bloody Habit (Ignatius Press, 2018).
